MY TRIP TO ITALY

Hi everyone I'm Clàudia and today I'm talking about my days in Italy last month. We visited wonderful cities such as Sirmione, Verona, Venize, Firenze, Pisa and Lucca.

On the first day a bus took us from the school at about 5 am to the airport in Barcelona. We flew at 9 pm to Milano with EasyJet. When we arrived we went to Sirmione and we visited it's amazing lake, Garda's Lake. We had lunch there, we took some photos and in the afternoon we went to Verona. There we visited the narrow streets, the Arena of Verona,... Finally we went to have dinner and we rest because we were exhausted.

During the second day we took a train to Venice and we spent all day in the city. We visited a lot of things like: Ponte Rialto, la Piaza di San Marco, the basilica of San Marco and the tipical “water streets” from there. We didn't want to leave without having a trip in gondola through those amazing streets. We had an unique experience and I hope I can go there again soon! Finally we left the city with a vaporetto and we had dinner again in Verona.

On the thirth day we visited another wonderful city called Firenze. I enjoyed a lot this city because of the wonderful sites, the people and of course the food! We were very lucky because he had the cathedral of Santa Maria dil Fiore which was almost in front of our door. We saw the “Piazza de la Signoria”, the “Piazza de la Republica”, the outside of “Baptisteri”, and the “Ponte Vechio” at night, before going to the hotel.

On the fourth day we wento to the Uffizi Gallery, where we saw amazing paintings and sculputres from different authors like Botticelli or Bramante. That day we also went to the the dome of “Santa Maria del Fiore” and the “Campanile”. In the afternoon we went to the other musem, which is the Gallery Academy where we saw the amazing sculpture of David, Miquel Angelo. It was a perfect day!

Finally we made the luggage and we took a bus to see the amazing sites of Firenze. It was incredible. Those views were fantastic! I couldn't asked for more. Then we went to Lucca where we had a brunch in the main Piazza. At 12 pm the bus took us to Pisa, our last city in Italia. We saw the cathedral, the baptistery and some of us we climbed the leaning tower! After that we spent all the afternoon in those amazing gardens, making photos and having fun. I didn't wanted those days to end but at 8 pm the bus took us to the Pisa airport. I was sad but then we met some nice guys from Llagostera and I had fun. We flew back to Barcelona with them and then we went back to Banyoles. It was an amazing experience and I hope I can go there next year! I thank everyone who made this possible!

7. PREPARATION - CC'S

Day 1:

I've just joined an activity called Elderly Care, a volunteering group of young people who wanted to meet and to learn a lot of things about old people who wanted their company. I spent the first day in a kind of meeting in my residence. The old people were amazing and a bit shy but the teachers assigned each other. As I said, everyone was a bit shy but at the end of the class, we were talking alot each and I enjoyed that a lot. I admit I was a bit nervous at the begining but I could feel their affection so it became easyier for me.

Day 2:

We met each other again at the residence. They recived us with a big smile and in the morning we did a kind of activity or a game togheter. I had a lot of fun and they seemed happy too! Then we had lunch and in the afternoon we talk and they explained to me their life and their chilhood and I explained my life in general: how old am I, where do I live, which is my school,... After that we had dinner and then we said goodbye to each other because we had to leave. Fortunatly, we'll see them at 9:00 o'clock in the morning.

Day 3:

The last day we did a trip around the lake and we saw the animals and how did they lived there. It was a great experience because I've seen many times the lake but I've never seen it that way!

We did all the round in 1h and 45 min because they walked very slowly. I didn't mind that because if we walk to fast sometimes we don't see things clearly. They enjoyed the trip a lot too!

Elderly Care group believe that if you love old people and you want to know them and learn from them you must spent time with them because not a lot of people know them the way I do now.

At the end of the day we had to leave for a couple of weeks. They were really sad and I was a bit too because I had a great experience with them and they showed me many things in a short time. We'll keep contact by cards and I hope I could see them soon!

SUMMARY

A STORY

Yesterday, I was going home from school when I saw a strange thing in a hole of a tree. I first thought it was something stupid but I looked inside it and I found an interesting diary from someone who was afraid of something called “the storm” and he/she needed help. I arrived at home and I read some more pages to find out more about it. I finally realize it was a boy called Charles who was afraid of his 90 year old granny because she shouted when she was angry and she peed herself.

“AN OLD FRIEND”

Since I was young, I used to have some summer friends in my apartment, Georgina and Estela. We were old friends because since we were little we went to Platja d'Aro every summmer. Summer after another we spent the most of the time together and in september i felt very sad because i had to live in my town again and they must go to their cities too. Each summer we meet and we have a lot of fun meeting friends and making new ones. I called them my old friends because the've been there all my summers. A lot of my close friends have left me or I left them but I knew my summer friends will always be there even if I left a lot of friends from here. They aren't “old friends” because we haven't lost the contact but i said they are old because I only see them in summer so I think they are not friends 100%. They are from Granollers and Badalona and they are similar but so different to each other. The first one loves listening rock and it is a litlle bad girl and the second one loves pop classic music and it is the good girl.

I like wearing jeans and sweters when in autumn and winter but i like to wear shorts and tops on summer and T-shirts on spring.

I went to Andorra last weekend and I bought some winter and autum clothes like a sweter some jeans and a long sleeve shirt. It was an expensive shop so I didn't buy many things. I also need some brown boots for this winter but I have two months until this season starts. I love shopping but I was buy only what I need.
