Dylan's character has a strong connection with Teresa, the only girl of the Glade, played by Kaya Scodelario (Skins). "But there is no kiss at the end. I really like that about the story. it's really unconventional, you know. But it's so sweet. It's more about the connection, a love that is not the cliché-like romance. Because, frankly, why would we be having a relationship during wha'ts happiening? You don't have time to flirt. We shot a scene where I was talking with Teresa, and we have a moment, flirt a bit and it was so wrong... I didn't want to shoot it. I was like 'Shouldn't I be getting out to the maze? Saving our lives, instead of flirting?' And Wes (the director) cut it. It's so beautiful in that sense. Firstly, people will be rooting for mor if we don't kiss. We are connected a sort of internal, wired connection. It's more intense"
